Selina came home yesterday, having had satisfactory blood results. There's still a long way to go and progress in her body's response to the chemotherapy is certainly required before she can be considered on a path to complete remission.
It is a great blessing to have all of us back together for the time-being (she will be heading back to hospital for some scheduled overnight stays next week as part of the next phase).
Her appetite is off the scale at the moment (a side effect of one of her medicines). The main cause of tears and screaming is being told she has to wait for food to cool down before eating. Her first words after waking, after meals and after any other activity at all, are generally 'I want pasta'.
But wonderfully there were some smiles and giggles today of the sort not witnessed much over the past few weeks. It's hard to believe it is a mere 25 days since we first stepped into Queen Mary hospital. But it is slightly harder to believe it will be, God willing, ~900 days until we can walk out of there for the last time (at least for cancer treatment).
