Consolidation

The 'consolidation' phase in brief

Selina will be at hospital for 3 nights every other week until mid-Jan for a 24hr chemo infusion.  She also has to take one tablet each night (which she has proudly started taking with water 'like a grown-up' rather than dissolving, which makes things easier).

Her blood level is expected to go down again throughout these 8 weeks, with potential delay of treatment if blood level is dropped too low, or if she picks up infection.

Please pray for:
- our careful handling of the tablets and administering them accurately to instructions
- Selina's continued cooperation in taking them
- Minimal side effects (ulcers, vomiting, pains, neurological impact e.g. Headaches etc)
- Absence of infection / fever
- Be able to sustain reasonable blood count while the leukaemic cells are effectively destroyed

- Work + hospital stays have been harder with Andy starting work, pray for energy and endurance
- Matilda to adjust well now that Andy is not around as much as before, and her sister is not around to play with her.
- Praise God for a first good week of work for Andy with supportive managers
